Northern Virginia Daylily Society  is a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate the public about the daylily (species Hemerocallis), an historic and ubiquitous perennial that graces gardens around the world. Through the literature we distribute at plant sales, daylily exhibitions, our support of Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, newsletters and various other endeavors, we are spreading the word about our favorite flower. NVDS is affiliated with the American Hemerocallis Society as a member of Region 3, an area encompassing Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, DC, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Members themselves are the club's most valuable resource, as they unselfishly and enthusiastically share their daylily knowledge and experience with others.  Within the club members support each other in many ways, such as volunteer work, visiting member gardens and helping seniors tend to their gardens.  Please consider joining us for our fun and educational events!
