Unusual form (cascade) Ruffled yellow with delicate beige overlay, normally in daylilies beige means a dull muddy color, not with LARRY. LARRY'S color is always bright and pretty and attention getting. Attention getting is the thing that the Amigos do the best. LARRY constantly displays multiple blooms on tall well branched scapes. Wide 4 and 5 way branching display these huge blooms without crowding. Despite displaying multiple blooms day after day LARRY has a remarkably long bloom period sending up scape after scape. LARRY is the only really hardy cultivar I know out of  MARKED BY LYDIA, fertile both ways and a great pod setter. NORTH WIND LARRY offers unique genetics to the hybridizer (NOEL WESTON X MARKED BY LYDIA)

Unusual form (pinched crispate) MOE'S hot clear pink color on tall widely branched scapes draws visitors from across the garden like a beacon. Flaring flamboyantly above the foliage the hot pink color takes center stage over its more subtle assets such as the delicate pale eye-zone over a deep green throat, the wide 4 and 5 way branching amazing high bud count and healthy green foliage. Fertile both ways Moe is a dramatic center piece to any garden. (NORTH WIND DANCER X SUSAN WEBER)

This rather narrow, lilting Chinese yellow, RHS 20A, daylily varies considerably in form from blossom to blossom easily fitting into the UFO class of daylilies. Further, it presents a “pirouette en pointe” movement in many of its blossom. It will often have two petals held up over the center of the flower like in outstretched arms placed overhead. This very lovely, strikingly shaded yellow approaches but does not meet standards of the spider class but does resemble them. PARALLAX VIEW is quite fertile both ways but is selective as to what it will set seed with. It has been used to cross with lavenders, pinks and purple varieties as well as the obvious due to its Mandarin Moon heritage: [(Inca Torch x Silk And Honey) X (Mary Moldovan x induced: (Kwan Yin x Catherine Woodbury))]

(BIG APPLE X SUBSTANTIAL EVIDENCE) The flower begins the day as a reddish purple or perhaps purplish red might capture it better. As the morning progresses the red/purple disappears from the petal surface. What is revealed underneath is a shade that has described by consensus as turquoise. That was consistently true when this was grown as a seedling in its original location. Besides the turquoise there is also jade as well as gun metal gray; The pattern in which the red/purple surface coloration disappears adds another interesting dimension. The color in the outside layers washes away from the center of the blossom and progresses towards the edges of the petals. This leaves the turquoise/jade/bluish/gray pigments below exposed. For a time during the course of the day PIGMENT OF IMAGINATION takes on the appearance of the much desired edge/no eye pattern. As the day proceeds the second pigment layer follows the pattern of the first layer until it takes on another variation of the edge/no eye look. This time the outside edge is the same unique color as what was seen on the main area of the petals a few hours earlier

Unique and distinctive, PURPLE MAZE is a medium carrot orange with a shaded, triple eye pattern. It is a breakthrough, because there is no other daylily cultivar with this colouration. The eye colors are smoky blue purple and blue-lavender, outlined in red violet. Blue-purple veins highlight the blue lavender portion of the eye. The petals have tiny 24 carat gold ruffles, flecked blue lavender. The throat is yellow to green. Texture is diamond dusted. Looks great in shade or full sun. Classic, widespread form, with rounded petals. The strongly recurrent scapes have 3-way branching and 18-22 buds. Fertile and very hard to find!

Tubular sepals with deep saturation for emphasis; cloud-white edging on all segments. Petals reliably recurve and pinch beautifully, making the form quite 3-dimensional to see in person... especially enhanced because of the fact that all 6 segments are clearly free from each other. The large throat extends quite far, and the vestige Munson wash enhances this feature quite beautifully; 3 branches, 21 bloom count, pod fertile, pollen fertile; pod-parent is {(Grand Palais x Respighi) X Wispy Rays}; pollen-parent is Higher Ambition

REACH FOR THE SKY has a washed denim blue eye zone and a pattern within that blue. The lighter colored sepals make it a definite bi-tone with various shades of denim blue. A pattern breaking through the eye-zone, a blue edge, topped by a chartreuse-green edge, which matches the throat, all those attributes belong to REACH FOR THE SKY. Very fertile both ways

Cherry red with a tan edge in the morning, and as the day gets hot, the midribs and edge bleach to a striking cream. The bloom remains very sunfast, with a chartreuse throat.  Registered it with 2 branches and 12 buds, but this fall, it rebloomed with up to 4 branches and 25 buds. It is related to Candy Cane Dreams, and a sibling to several of my light edged reds. Good grower,  fertile,  multiple fans
